Bimi® Tenderstem® Broccolini, official sponsor of the prestigious World Food Photography Awards, the most important food photography awards in the world
The world's best photographs of fruit and vegetables will be on display at the next edition of Fruit Attraction. The World Food Photography Awards debuts at the fair with a gallery located in the central corridor, between halls 6 and 8 of the exhibition centre, courtesy of its new main sponsor Bimi® Tenderstem® Broccolini, which will host a launch event on 9th October. The premiere will be attended by world-famous chefs and photographers, national and international media, who will enjoy a press trip to Madrid to get to know the sector and the fair first-hand.

This year’s World Photography Awards’ judging panel, chaired by the renowned British food photographer David Loftus, includes Claire Reichenbach, CEO, The James Beard Foundation, Tom Athron, CEO, Fortnum & Mason, Max La Manna, Award Winning Digital Creator, Rein Skullerud, Senior Photographer & Photo Editor, World Food Programme and Mogau Seshoene, The Lazy Makoti, Chef and Cookbook Author, Mikel Ponce, Spain's best gastronomic photographer, Hermanos Torres, 3 Michelin Stars celebrity chefs and Henrique Sá Pessoa, Michelin Star Chef.

Entries for the 2025 edition are already open on the Awards’ official website https://www.worldfoodphotographyawards.com. The competition invites photographers, whether amateur or professional, to showcase their creativity in capturing food-related stories worldwide, whether through landscape, portrait, travel, wedding, photojournalism or any other style of photography. With more than 25 categories, the Awards seeks to reflect how food influences the lives of people and cultures - from growing, harvesting and cooking to eating, celebrating and surviving. This year also sees the introduction of the ‘Bimi® Award’, a special new prize for one image only, which will be chosen from the Shortlist for the best photo showing fresh fruit and/or vegetables.
